Data Engineering
The Foundation Curriculum equips learners with essential skills in data manipulation and analysis using Python and SQL, along with foundational knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing. The Advanced phase delves into building robust data pipelines, working with big data tools like Spark and Hadoop, and mastering cloud-based data platforms like Redshift and Snowflake. Learners will gain practical experience in designing, implementing, and managing data solutions for real-world applications.
Eligibility
Option 1
A tertiary degree or HND in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics or any STEM program.
At least one year of experience with:
Data manipulation and analysis using Python and SQL
Familiarity with ETL / ELT processes and data warehousing concepts
o Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Redshift, Snowflake) is a plus
Option 2
Any other tertiary degree or diploma.
At least two years of experience in data engineering, including:
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
Practical experience with data pipelines, ETL / ELT processes, and data warehousing.
Demonstrable experience with data engineering projects (e.g., through a portfolio, online courses, or relevant certifications).
The Application Process
ONLINE APPLICATION
All applicants must complete an online registration form with personal information, resume, certifications, portfolio.
ONLINE ASSESSMENT
Complete the online coding assessment within a week, covering programming basics, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving (pass mark: 300/600).
Shortlisting
Shortlisting is based on applicant’s score in the assessment and profile against the eligibility criteria.
Interviews for shortlisted candidates
The 60-minute interview will assess your skills and explore your career goals and contributions to AmaliTech.
Final Decision
You’ll receive a final decision within 2 weeks, based on your application quality, assessment score, and interview feedback.
