New And Unique Platform TheFairWork, Now Creates The Urgently Needed Access To Digital Talent From Africa Also For Smaller Companies In Europe

According to Bitkom, there is currently a shortage of 137,000 ICT (Information and Communications Technology)     specialists in Germany. The social business AmaliTech gGmbH has been connecting remote ICT professionals from Africa with international companies since 2019. It is now also securing small companies and start-ups access to urgently needed, qualified IT talent from Africa through the new remote work platform “TheFairWork”. TheFairWork enables European clients to cooperate with qualified talent from Africa in an uncomplicated way, aiming to alleviate the shortage of skilled workers in Europe and create additional jobs in Africa. The project is supported by the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation* of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the Digital Skills Accelerator Africa (DSAA) e.V.**.

The new, innovative offer can be found at www.thefairwork.com: Anyone with a job vacancy in the field of software development, digital marketing, graphic design, or other digital services can view a list of qualified ICT talent on the platform or post an online job advertisement and receive applications through the platform. Remote workers, on the other hand, are only given access to TheFairWork if they have successfully obtained a qualification through AmaliTech or another member company of DSAA e.V. Digital talent, interested in jobs or assignments, 90% meiner onlineklausuren gebracht can also take additional tests to prove their expertise. Martin Hecker, founder and CEO of AmaliTech states: “We focus on high-quality at AmaliTech and have the same ambition for TheFairWork. Companies must always be able to rely on that.”

Digital transformation remains the key issue for companies across all industries in Europe. But the process is progressively stalled with an increasing shortage of skilled workers. In addition, there is increasing uncertainty about the further economic development within companies. To create both flexible and reliable solutions for companies in Europe, AmaliTech has developed the “TheFairWork” – showcasing the massive potential of skilled ICT talent in Africa and benefitting from additional advantages, like similar time zones.

“We now want to bring this talent together with small European companies quickly and easily via a digital platform”, explains Martin Hecker. “This is a natural complement to AmaliTech’s core business of building long-term teams for clients”, says Hecker.

Elvis Melia, Founder and Sector Development Consultant of MeliaCRED, has already tried TheFairWork: “I met Yussif Tahiru as a beta user of TheFairWork Platform. I needed a website for my consultancy company and wasn’t sure how to go about it. Tahiru set up a few templates and urged me to write texts for the various fields. That way, I could slowly tell him what I wanted. He was quick, always understood and implemented what I wanted, and had a good sense of style. Tahiru went above and beyond for me in this project. If you’d like to see a sample of his work, check out the website he created for me!”

“We provided financial and technical support for the establishment of TheFairWork. In this way, we are helping to open up future prospects for young IT talent in Africa. AmaliTech’s digital talent has created a professional platform that enables Africa’s youth to work internationally as well and thus gain more contracts,” says Thomas Rolf, Manager of the Global Programme on Training and Job Creation of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, which implements the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation among others.
