Power BI Developer

Work model: Hybrid work 
Locations:  Ghana (Accra, Takoradi or Kumasi) / Rwanda (Kigali)
Working Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Description

AmaliTech is hiring a Power BI Developer to bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insights, contributing to efficient decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Solutions: They utilise data to gain insights and understand the detailed information to offer solutions. The trends or patterns from data back their suggestions.
  • Data Handling: The data handling involves data analysis, effective visualisation, and report formation. It also includes integration with other teams to understand the intricacies.
  • Optimisation: Power BI responsibilities also encompass troubleshooting errors and offering methods of improvement to existing BI systems. They also contribute to enhancing accuracy and efficiency in data-driven solutions.
  • Accuracy: The Power BI job responsibilities include ensuring data quality and reliability. They must thoroughly verify the data and detailed information, thus performing quality checks.
  • Training: The responsibilities also include training end-users about the usage of Power BI-based reports and dashboards. They will train the users about the method of data interpretation and the pathway to reach the decisions.

 

Qualification

  • BSc Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, IT, and related background
  • Proven experience with Power BI and data processing
  • Data analysis & Data modelling
  • Power BI Designer
  • Design PowerBI with focus on user experience
  • Leverage enhanced PowerBI features like filters, calculation etc.
  • Knowledge in data bases and programming
  • Create SQL statements to aggregate data within an SQL server to be visualized in complex PowerBI Dashboards
  • Experience with data analytics and data engineering on cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure or AWS preferred)
  • Ideally PowerBI certified
